Welcome from the President of PANLAR
Dear friends in rheumatology,
It is with profound happiness and satisfaction that we invite all the medical community with an interest in rheumatology and related specialties to the 22nd PANLAR Pan-American Rheumatology Congress, to be held from May 2-5, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami, USA.
The PANLAR Congress returns to the United States after several years and we welcome it as an important opportunity and alternative to add US-based specialists interested in rheumatology to the exchange of knowledge and scientific cooperation throughout the American continent. We must thank the support of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), which has strongly liaised with PANLAR to ensure the success of this new congress.
Yes, we are celebrating a new yearly PANLAR Congress, one that step by step is becoming a fixture in the Pan-American rheumatology community’s agenda, as one of the high-profile annual international events of excellent scientific contents. We are creating a diverse schedule that includes symposiums, study groups and high-quality scientific courses that will address relevant current topics. In this regard, the Congress will always have a space for the promotion of a wide array of works in oral and poster form, in support of research and science.
A high number of prestigious speakers will join us and share their expertise with around 3000 participants from all over the world.
Some of our main goals in the pursuit of ethical, high-quality rheumatology are promoting educational spaces, strengthening fraternal bonds among rheumatologists from different countries, supporting meeting places for study group members and enabling the communication of one’s research.
We look forward to seeing you in Miami, which more than a city is a multi-cultural paradise of urban centers, charming towns and neighborhoods by the sea.
Let’s make this challenge for PANLAR one that will be remembered forever!
Enrique R. Soriano
President of PANLAR
